Bi-Annual $1 & 50% Sale – This Weekend!

It went SO well in April when we combined the monthly sale and the twice a year $1 sale, that we have decided to do it again for the September sale.

Score tons of $1 deals on mostly clothing for kids newborn through teen (seriously, we have SO many teen girl size 14-18 clothing pieces in the $1 deals) but we will also be running the 50% off the newer arrivals, if it’s been in the store at least a month and isn’t on the $1 sale, it will be 50% off.  The local hand-made products are not included.

Tips for the $1/50% sale:

• Be patient.  Don’t stop in when you only have 5 or 10 minutes to shop and check out.  That works on most regular days at our store but not during the sale.
• Be kind.  We have a lot of shoppers that will be here and our store is on the smaller side, even though it is PACKED with stuff for kids.  It is usually the busiest on Friday from 9:00-1:00.
• Bring cash.  We do take credit cards, but it does take a little bit longer, especially if our internet lags or runs wonky during the sale.
• Credit Card – if you only carry cards that is fine, but be sure to bring your I.D.  Yes, we do actually check, it is for your safety and ours.
• Shop early.  We are open 9-7 on Friday and 9-3 on Saturday.  All the deals are out when we open on Friday, we don’t hold anything back.  So the earlier you shop, the more variety there is to be found, especially for $1.
• Please – if you pick up something, but decide not to buy it.  Give it to Kevin, Beth or one of our kids – OR – put it back where you got it.  We had a challenge during the last sale with things getting set on the $1 sale racks but not being part of that sale.  Everything is marked, so we know what is part of each sale.
• Bags – bring your own reusable bags when possible.  We just recycle plastic or paper bags from our consignors and my stock is lower than normal.
• If you would like to help, we will have a spot next to the check-out to take our hangers off.  We are happy to do it for you, but it does help save time if you do it.
• If we are VERY busy and Kevin is here, he will check people out that have 10 items or less by hand.
• RED: If you see a red table cloth or red balloon on the rack – those are the ones that are supposed to have the $1 items on them.  Keep in mind my earlier tip, that I had people put things down on the wrong racks last time (especially kids!).  Everything is marked and we will let you know at check-out, we straighten at the end of the day or if there is a lull in shoppers, but we may not have “caught” any traveling kids items that have been moved about the store until checking out.
• I do not know what will be in the $1 sale until we get it all set-up on Thursday night/Friday morning.  I will post a video or a live on the facebook page to show the basics, but not every item in each size.  Every sale is different because we have a variety that arrives and what gets pulled for the sale are items that just haven’t sold in the last 6 months.
• No – we do not accept returns or exchanges.

We are SO very excited to be helping you outfit your kids, with toys for birthdays/holidays/entertainment purposes at a fraction of the cost of buying new.  As always, we thank you for shopping small and local.  See you this weekend!
