October 2019 we were notified that our credit card processing company will be now charging a $0.10/transaction fee on top of the percentage of the sale they already take when you use cards to pay starting on November 1, 2019. This is a big deal to many small businesses. We just cannot compete with big box stores on stuff like this.
We’ve been exploring options and looking at what other small businesses do to incorporate all these fees for accepting credit cards. Some limit you and won’t accept cards for purchases under $10. Some just will not take cards. Some ask you to cover the minimal fee.
So, after accepting cards since November 2015, beginning on November 1, 2019 – – That’s Adorable will be asking you to use cash, local check -OR- pay the $0.10 fee if you choose to use a card for your purchase.
Hard to believe that it was 4 years ago (Nov. 2015) that we started accepting cards.
